CRAZY PATCH CHRISTMAS STOCKING

Class Description: Make Crazy Patch Christmas Stockings using the popular stack and slash method. We will create yardage for Christmas stockings. We will discuss embellishment techniques and hand or machine embroidery stitches. Get started on Christmas early!
Supplies: BSK, rotary cutter and mat, long ruler, neutral thread, rayon or specialty embroidery threads for machine or hand embellishing, iron and ironing pad, safety pins to baste quilt sandwich, walking foot, and sewing machine with specialty stitches.

Class Description: This is a paper pieced quilt. Once upon a time this used to be a rather difficult block to piece with all those tiny triangles but no more! Paper foundation piecing makes this one of the easiest blocks to piece. Even easy enough for you to want to make a big quilt after you've learned Saundra's "best techniques for paper piecing"!
Supplies: BSK, neutral thread, acrylic ruler, rotary cutter, cutting mat (a very small one to have by your sewing machine is best), seam ripper with a thin, sharp blade (the small blue Dritz or white Bernina is the best for this project), 1" x 6" flexible C-thru ruler (model W-10), tweezers and scissors (paper and cloth).

You can put the envelopes together for an I-Spy quilt that can also be used as a game, a Christmas Advent calendar, a traveling tote for your car, or just a bright and fun wall quilt.
