Located on scenic Highway 12, 7 miles south of Panguitch. Red Canyon is part of the Dixie National Forest. There are lots of hiking trails, a visitor center, campground and plenty of scenery for photography. Many visitors think the canyon is Bryce, but Red Canyon is smaller and less crowded. Red Canyon is also famous as being a hidout for outlaw Butch Cassidy, who grew-up in the area.
